About
About Me
I’m Nick Tabick. I’m 21 and reside in the U.S. I’m a software/web developer, and as such I have plenty of software to pass around. My major projects at the moment are SkipTo, Rolling Paper, and h.26easy, all of which are freeware. Donations are cool, but not required by any stretch of the imagination; if you’d like to help out, please e-mail me.
I’m into music a bit; while I have barely any composititonal talent whatsoever, I don’t mind sitting back and listening to nearly anything, provided it’s not “emo”, opera, or jazz. You can follow my listening on Last.fm. I also enjoy food, as long as it meets the requirements of not being fish. I’m especially addicted to carrots for no particular reason.
I have been involved in the production of several websites in regards to my locale, as well as for the IPTV show TechCentric (which I am a founding member of). Undoubtedly you will find details of some of my TechCentric efforts in these pages.
Other than that, I am usually online as much as possible; the Contact page mentions most of my usual haunts. (What fun would it be if I told you everywhere I could hide? I’m sure you’d like somewhere quiet to get away to.)
Why TwoSlashes.com?
For those of you who need an explanation, it’s more or less a software developer in-joke. Two slashes denote a comment, or remark, in most programming languages used today. Comments and remarks refer to the blog entries in this case; since I have a habit of commenting on anything that crosses my mind (usually tech-related, though I’m trying to change that), it seems fitting.
If you don’t understand a word of what I’ve just said, here’s a mildly-related comic (compliments of Randall Munroe and xkcd.com):

Mumbo-Jumbo
