HideIcons
HideIcons is a small application designed to hide or show the icons on your desktop at the press of a button.
HideIcons has two methods of usage available to it. The first (more convenient, usual) method leaves HideIcons running constantly in the system tray, waiting for you to press Alt-F9 (non-changeable). At this point, HideIcons will engage and turn the icons on or off for you. Press Alt-F9 and it works again.
The other method of usage is a little more involved. HideIcons supports commandline parameters to hide or show the icons. If these are present, HideIcons will take action as necessary and then exit. This is useful in scripts or other applications where it would be useful to have the icons turned off.
* To show the desktop icons, pass s or show (slash / or dash – optional) as a commandline option.
* To hide the desktop icons, pass h or hide (again, slash / or dash – optional) as a commandline option.
